As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Nancy is owner and CEO of Farrell Dietitian Services, a Medical Nutrition Therapy private practice in Fredericksburg, VA. Nancy received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and completed her dietetic internship program at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She is also an adjunct instructor in the Nutrition department at RFU, where she generously shares her expertise with students.
Boasting more than 40 years of experience in clinical, industry and private practice, Nancy wears many hats including the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics National media spokesperson. In this role, she communicates food, nutrition and health messages on radio, TV and in print media.
Nancy serves on US Congressman Rob Wittman’s Health Advisory Council. She continues to be involved with local, state and federal legislators promoting nutrition public policy. She has served as nutrition advisor on former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine’s Health Reform Commission Work Group, and recently completed serving on former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe's Council on Bridging the Nutritional Divide.
The impact of her work extends well beyond her own successful nutrition practice into education, health coaching, communication, counseling and patient care.
Congratulations, Nancy!
